First nights
Laslea is Coen's home village
Laslea is Coen's home village under former human lord Skender Dragosti. The Black Plague has already hit. Father Pieter still teaches the sword; mother Esme is sick; siblings Yanna, Mirto, and Lunka share the house. Coen keeps secret Latin. None of that is flavour text. The first evening is spent talking to them while the sun is still up, then treating sundown as a hard split rather than a rest menu. Hotfix 1.0.2 specifically calls out Lunka’s tutorial pathing — follow that path instead of inventing a quest order the studio has not published. Steam Cloud and full controller support shipped at launch, but neither of those store ticks tells you who to talk to before the Blood Mass. The useful order is household, sundown, then the clock. Skip that order and Vale Sangora will spend the family’s remaining days while you are still looking at a map nobody printed.

Laslea before the Blood Mass
Skender Dragosti is the vanished human lord over Laslea. After he disappears, the vrakhiri sit down at the top of the valley’s human order. Coen is the eldest son of a silver-country household: Pieter the mercenary father, Esme the sick mother, Yanna, Mirto, and Lunka. Anca, the village herbalist, keeps a plant diary and is the named teacher of daylight witchcraft. The plague is already in the streets. The first-party copy does not hand you a numbered village tour; it hands you a house.
Talk to that house while it is still daylight. Pieter’s sword lessons, Esme’s illness, the siblings’ needs, and Coen’s secret Latin are the only opening beats Rebel Wolves named in the community bulletin on Coen’s roots. Do not skip them to chase a map icon. The Blood Mass has not happened yet. After it does, the same streets become a different loop, and the household clock is already spending.
Anca is in the village and is not a menu trainer. Her plant diary is a first-party detail, not a crafting spreadsheet. Pieter’s lessons are Swordmastery’s root, not an optional feat. If a competitor page lists ten vendor stops before the family, it is writing a different game than the one Rebel Wolves shipped on 3 September 2026.

Respect sundown
The Blood Mass is the transformation that splits Coen into a Dawnwalker: human by day, vampire by night. After the disc drops, Laslea is no longer the same map with a filter. Night opens vampiric routes and shuts others. Most nocturnal abilities run on health and corruption and demand a sacrifice. Daylight witchcraft from Anca stays on the human body. Switching loops is the job, not a costume.
Hotfix 1.0.2 on PC, dated 4 September 2026, calls out Lunka’s tutorial pathing by name. If the child is leading you and the pathing fails, that is a known launch bug with a same-week patch, not a secret skip. The same hotfix also mentions Farkas dialogue after nearby NPC deaths, Uriashi holy-sword crafting, and a controller dead zone while sprinting. Treat those as the live build, not as trivia.
Controller users should know the 1.0.2 dead-zone fix exists; if sprinting still drifts, you are not on that hotfix. Uriashi’s holy-sword craft is named in the same notes, which is why this primer mentions it without turning into a smithing guide. Farkas dialogue after nearby deaths is the other named conversation bug. Four bullets. That is the live PC list.

What the first evening actually asks
There is no official numbered walkthrough. The three marks on this page are the systems first-party copy actually names: talk to the household, respect sundown, spend remaining family days on purpose. The checks persist in this browser as JSON. They are not quest ids from a datamine. Ticking them does not complete anything in the game; it only keeps your own first night honest.
Inaction still moves Vale Sangora. Taking quests spends the family’s remaining days, and standing still spends the valley another way. Exact hour segments are unpublished. Any wiki that prints a remaining-day integer is guessing. Use the primer video when you want Rebel Wolves to say the dual loop out loud, then go back to the house before you wander the silver capital.
The checklist ids are talk-family, respect-sundown, and spend-days. They persist as JSON in localStorage and restore after reload. Progress shows n/3. They are not Steam achievements. They are not quest flags. They exist so the first evening has a visible count without inventing a walkthrough.

After the village yard
Once the first sundown is behind you, the useful next reads are the day-and-night loop, the numbered-days clock, and the qualitative Swordmastery / Witchcraft / Vampirism bands. Editions and PC specs can wait until you know which box you bought. Achievements can wait until you have a reason to filter hidden rows. The vrakhiri court can wait until you can name Brencis without a portrait.
If you came here from a competitor walkthrough that lists a first-night checklist of vendor stops, ignore the vendor order. This page only keeps what Steam news and the store actually named for Laslea, Lunka, and the Blood Mass. That is a shorter list on purpose.
Editions can wait. Achievements can wait. The vrakhiri court can wait until you can spell Brencis. What cannot wait is the sundown in Laslea and the fact that Hotfix 1.0.2 already had to patch the child who leads the tutorial. That is the start of this game, not a spoiler.
The primer video on this page is Everything You Need to Know, with a chapter button that can swap to the launch trailer. Watch it after you have talked to the house, not instead of talking to the house. Official motion is a supplement. The three checklist ids are the start.
